HEALTHPRENEURS: a European alliance to boost health entrepreneurship selected by the EIT The European project

The European project HEALTHPRENEURS has been selected under Cohort 4 of the EIT HEI Initiative, a strategic action of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) aimed at enhancing innovation capacity in higher education institutions across Europe.

With a total European Union funding of €1.34 million, the HEALTHPRENEURS consortium brings together universities, clinical centres, investment entities and entrepreneurship organizations from seven European countries. The partners include institutions from six European countries: Spain, Italy, England, Scotland, Albania, and Portugal. The initiative is coordinated by the Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM) and involves strategic partners such as University of Navarra and University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain), University of Strathclyde (Scotland), Università Telematica San Raffaele (Italy), Sport University of Tirana (Albania), Cambridge Biocapital (United Kingdom), Católica-Luz Clinical Academic Centre (Portugal)

The project will focus on promoting scientific entrepreneurship, supporting health-related startups, training entrepreneurial talent in medical and nutritional innovation, and creating institutional mechanisms to strengthen the university-industry-society interface.

HEALTHPRENEURS contributes directly to the EIT’s mission to foster inclusive and sustainable innovation ecosystems and represents a strong commitment to advancing entrepreneurship as a vehicle for knowledge transfer in the health field.
